ClickStartMe has teamed with world-renowned product marketer HM3 (Harrington Multi Media Marketing) to bring you the 2013 ClickStartMe Product and Invention Contest!
In August, 2013, we will fly 5 inventors or product creators to sunny Tampa Bay, where they will visit HM3’s state-of-the-art television studios. At the HM3 studios, each finalist will present their product or invention to a panel of industry experts from the retail, merchandising and marketing world. The contest finale will be webcast, giving each of the product developers and inventors national exposure for their product to the masses. The winner of the finale will receive a marketing and product distribution deal with HM3 and will have their own television commercial created by HM3.
The contest is easy to enter. Any person who creates a project on ClickStartMe that involves any product or invention is automatically eligible. Once the project is created and published, the project owner will receive an e-mail from ClickStartMe inviting them to enter the contest. Entering the contest is as simple as responding yes to the e-mail!
HM3 is the home of Tim Harrington, an expert in product development, marketing, production of infomercials and short form commercials, media purchasing, and live shopping product presentations. Harrington is one of the most trusted names in the international direct response marketing industry. From 1987 to 1991, Harrington served as President of Quantum International, which parlayed a $75,000 investment into $50 million in first year sales. National Media, a New York Stock Exchange company, merged with Quantum, and Harrington served as Executive Vice President of National Media from 1991 to 1994. During this time National Media grew from an $18 million market cap to $500 million. National Media was also the first company to launch infomercials internationally. Harrington moved to St. Petersburg in 1994 as the co-founder of Home Shopping Network’s HSN Direct. In 2010, Harrington became Chairman and CEO of HM3.
The five ClickStartMe Product and Invention Contest finalists will be chosen as follows:
The inventor or product creator that raises the most money with any ClickStartMe project by August 1. 2013 will be Finalist #1.
The inventor or product creator that raises the highest amount of money for his or her ClickStartMe project in a single day prior to August 1, 2013 will be Finalist #2.
Each inventor or product creator who creates a project on ClickStartMe.com will have the ability to have their project “loved” by friends, fans, and others who will click a “Love My Project” button on the inventor or product creator’s project page. The 25 inventors or product creators with the most "Loves" on ClickStartMe.com from the beginning of the contest through 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on August 1, 2013 will be subject to a random drawing. The drawing winner will be Finalist #3.
Of all inventors or product creators that fully fund a ClickStartMe project of at least $2,500 by August 1, 2013, one will be picked by random selection to be Finalist #4.
Of all inventors or product creators who create a project on ClickStartMe.com before 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on August 1, 2013, a panel of judges (different from the panel of judges who will judge the finale) will select the most creative project, in their opinion, and that inventor or product creator will be Finalist #5.
